Hi Freaks and Nerds, I'm looking to start a new Project together with an enthusiastic tech-freak on a couple of new ideas. Overall the thought can be described with building a new tech-platform, upon which less-tech affine people can build their own forms and process-automations with various automation-endpoints and AI integrations. Basically a modern predecessor for the ex MS InfoPath, but more innovative and flexible than MS PowerApps. I myself would start utilizing the very same platform to prepare use-cases and templates to go-to-market. Such as an ERP like system, field-service, productivity solutions for niche-markets. Following a few characteristics of how I would envision such a platform: UI: In my opinion, the UI should not require any installation of a client/software. Instead of should be browser-based. Alternative: The whole platform itself could be a new type of browser to allow full flexibility and independency on our end. Data source and storage: I would avoid the dependency on any Database. Instead, I would go back to old school (keyword 'Lotus Notus from IBM' back in the old days) and have the storage file-based. Similar like InfoPath which used to store each form in an XML. This would also allow a server-less approach and instead, to utilize one of the many available file-storage providers. Such as Google Drive, One Drive, Box, ... Further features and innovations: - The forms should have the usual elements, such as grids, total fields, grouping/sorting, design elements, .... - The form should be easy to integrate to other APIs (e.g. source file format exchange) and via the UI itself. E.g. if there is a form for a receipt, user should simply be able to capture the receipt and the form will recognize the data (AI) and paste them into the corresponding form fields for submission - AI integration to every form - Even we won't have a DB, every submitted form should be storable in a form-collector/summary. With links and navigation. E.g. if we have one form for a Product Master, we can use the submitted Products in another form (e.g. Purchase Order) for lookup and auto-linking I'm looking forward to fruitful discussions and eventually to a situation where things 'klick' and we agree to start this venture. I'm also open minded if someone already has built something similar or which would come close, and where we can blow new life into this project again together. Dependent on your needs and situation, I'm happy to make sure that you will be compensated in a way that you can fully focus on the development. Let's start the discussion and eventually come up with a first use-case to go further. Thanks, David
