Core requirements • Import and export glossaries in common formats like CSV, TBX or XLSX without losing metadata. • Search, filter and auto-suggest approved terms in real time while translating. • Store context sentences, notes, synonyms and “do-not-use” flags so brand language stays consistent. • Work with any language pair; we start with English–Spanish, English–Chinese and English–German, but the database has to stay completely Unicode-agnostic. • Offer role-based access (linguist, reviewer, admin) and maintain a simple version history so we can audit changes. • Provide an API or plug-in hook that lets us surface term hits inside the CAT tools our freelancers already use (memoQ, Trados, Phrase, etc.).
