I need a web-based video editor built specifically for teams that want to work on the same timeline together. Real-time collaboration is the cornerstone: multiple users should be able to log in, see each other’s cursors and instantly watch changes ripple through the timeline without refreshing the page. Core requirements • Upload and export must work flawlessly with MP4 files. You are free to architect the pipeline with FFmpeg, WebCodecs, WebAssembly, or any stack you are comfortable with, as long as latency stays low and quality is preserved. • A shared timeline panel where clips, cuts, transitions, and basic effects can be manipulated live by every authorised user. • Role-based access (owner, editor, viewer) so I can grant granular permissions to internal and external collaborators. • Project autosave, undo/redo across sessions, and a simple history view so teams can track who changed what. Nice to have Support for MOV or AVI later on, plus in-app commenting and version snapshots – design with enough modularity that we can bolt these on after the first milestone. Deliverables 1.
