Our retail platform already has a lightweight Next.js / Tailwind front-end in place; what I now need is the muscle behind it. Around 90 % of the remaining work is pure server-side logic, so I’m looking for someone deeply comfortable architecting and implementing non-trivial workflows in either Django or NestJS, coded cleanly in TypeScript (or Python where Django demands). Key areas you’ll tackle • Robust user authentication and role-based authorization • Scalable product catalog with real-time inventory control on MongoDB • Order lifecycle management, including secure payment integration (Stripe and PayPal are the likely choices, but I’m open) I value test-driven code, traceable commit history and well-documented APIs. If you’ve previously rolled out high-traffic eCommerce systems—handling race conditions on stock counts, optimising aggregation queries, or wiring complex checkout flows—you’ll feel right at home here. A small amount of UI wiring may pop up (Next.js pages or Tailwind tweaks), yet the core deliverables are fully functioning REST/GraphQL endpoints, data models and background jobs ready for production. Please include a brief note on similar back-office logic you’ve built, the stack you prefer (Django vs NestJS) and how you would structure milestones from auth to checkout. I look forward to collaborating.
