I need a lightweight tablet app that can instantly read barcodes—either through the onboard camera or a tethered USB/Bluetooth scanner—then look up the item in our existing web catalogue and show its full product record, including the current price. As soon as a new scan is detected the previous result must be cleared, so the screen is always ready for the next customer. Key scope • Platforms: a single code-base that runs smoothly on both Android and iOS tablets. • Barcode types: UPC and EAN only; no QR handling is required. • Result view: display product name, SKU, image and price pulled from our website or API endpoint directly in the app (no browser redirect). I’m open to React Native, Flutter, or any comparable cross-platform framework as long as startup time is fast and the camera scanner feels snappy (libraries such as ZXing or ML Kit are welcome). External scanner input should be treated the same as camera input, auto-submitting on the final line-feed. Deliverables 1. Source code with clear build instructions. 2.
