Our Discourse instance is already online but still working on the default look. I want it to feel as familiar and polished as community.shopify.com, focusing specifically on two visual touch-points: • Color scheme – replicate Shopify Community’s fresh greens, neutrals, and accent tones so every category page, banner, button, and state (hover, active, disabled) feels consistent. • Layout & structure – match the clean header, breadcrumb placement, two-column topic view, and responsive behaviour found on Shopify’s community, keeping accessibility intact. This is a hands-on build. I need someone who can dive straight into Discourse’s theme/SCSS layer, override components, and, where necessary, adjust the Ember templates or theme-components so the changes survive future updates. No consultation phase is required; I’ll provide staging credentials and brand assets, you deliver working code. Deliverables (to be merged through Discourse Theme CLI or Git): 1. A standalone theme or child-theme implementing the new palette and layout tweaks. 2. Mobile and desktop views tested across the latest Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. 3. Clear commit history / comments so I can tweak variables later. 4. Brief hand-off note listing any settings toggled in Admin > Customize. Acceptance criteria: when placed side-by-side with community.shopify.com, our pages should look similar with no layout breaks, and all core Discourse features remain functional. If you’re comfortable bending Discourse’s theming engine and have a keen eye for detail, please bid.
