I’d like an Android app that lets our family see where everyone is, right when we need it. The core functions are: • Real-time location sharing so each phone reports its live position on a single map • A scrollable location history to review past movements for any chosen day • Configurable geofencing alerts that notify us the moment someone enters or leaves a defined area (home, school, work, etc.) Smooth mapping is essential, so please build on Google Maps and use its latest SDK. For day-to-day communication, I also want one-tap sharing of a person’s live location through Messenger and WhatsApp. Notifications should be native (no SMS fallback), with the option to silence them at night. I’ll consider the job complete when: 1. An installable APK runs cleanly on Android 10+ phones. 2. The three features above work reliably with minimal battery drain. 3. Source code is delivered, well-commented, and ready to compile in Android Studio. 4. A brief set-up guide covers API keys, Firebase (if you use it), and how to publish to Google Play. If something in the spec seems unclear, feel free to suggest the best technical approach before you dive into coding.
