I currently run a house-based betting site built in Laravel and I’m ready to transform it into a true peer-to-peer prediction market that functions much like Kalshi. The goal is for users to trade directly with one another instead of with the platform. Core work • Replace the existing “buy-only” workflow with a live order-book where users can post buy or sell orders for Yes/No shares. • Build a matching engine that pairs orders automatically in real time. • Let traders close or unwind positions at any point before settlement so they can lock in gains or cut losses. • Shift price discovery to pure market demand, updating quote calculations continuously and handling partial fills smoothly. • Rework settlement so that, once an event’s outcome is verified, winnings (and any remaining collateral) are distributed to wallet balances without manual intervention. Acceptance criteria – Order book shows depth and last-traded price; orders execute instantly when spread crosses. – Users can place, modify, cancel and partially fill both buy and sell orders from the web UI and through the existing Laravel API endpoints. – P&L and position history update in real time. – Settlement triggers accurately from my admin panel and releases funds according to matched positions. – Code follows Laravel best practices, is fully tested, and comes with concise deployment notes.
