Dental Note AI is a Python-based web application used chair-side in dental practices. The core modules are in place, but the current code base needs an experienced hand to stabilise what we call the “code-bug-fixing workspace” — the area where clinical notes are captured, edited and saved in real time. Right now I need you to dive into that workspace, trace the critical bugs that interrupt note creation, and refactor the affected components without breaking the existing workflow. The web stack is Python (FastAPI on the back end, vanilla JS on the front), hosted on GitHub and deployed through Docker containers on AWS. Deliverables • Reproduce and document each reported bug in the note-taking workspace • Push clean, tested fixes to the main branch with clear commit messages • Leave inline comments so future contributors can follow your logic • Provide a concise hand-off report outlining what was fixed, how, and any follow-up recommendations Acceptance criteria • No uncaught exceptions during a full patient-exam flow (manual test script will be provided) • Page load ≤ 2 s for the note editor on a cold start • All existing unit tests green + new tests for every fix If you have deep Python expertise, a keen eye for debugging, and you’re comfortable working directly in a live AWS environment, I’m ready to give you push access so we can get these issues resolved fast.
