Our Order Management System powers multiple e-commerce storefronts and logistics partners, but a growing codebase of legacy Python/Django services is holding us back. I need an experienced backend engineer who can take ownership of three core goals: • Re-implement critical Django components in idiomatic Go microservices, designing clear REST and GraphQL endpoints. • Tune PostgreSQL queries, indexes, and connection settings until latency drops and throughput climbs. • Deepen integrations with Shopify, YCS Express, and our in-house payment flow, while preserving existing behaviour during rollout. You’ll write unit tests, containerise everything with Docker, and use Git pull-requests for clean code reviews. Redis + Celery already drive asynchronous jobs; your task is to keep them reliable while gradually porting workers to Go when sensible. Day-to-day collaboration happens in Chinese—spoken during stand-ups and written in issue trackers—so fluency is non-negotiable. Deliver the first production-ready Go service, fully documented and benchmarked, along with migration guidelines for the next batch of Django apps. If this pilot lands smoothly, the roadmap expands to the rest of the platform.
