Ongoing STL-to-STEP Conversions

I have just added a Creality Raptor Pro 3D scanner to my workflow and will be supplying you with raw STL meshes from it on a regular basis. Each scan represents a customer’s component that I must reverse-engineer, edit in Autodesk PowerShape, and ultimately CNC machine. Your role is to take the STL I send, repair and refine the geometry—typically smoothing surfaces and rebuilding any missing features—then convert the result into a watertight, dimensionally correct STEP file that complies with the industry-specific standards used in machining. The parts are usually of moderate complexity: think cast housings, brackets, small tooling inserts and similar items. Accuracy is critical because I open the file directly in PowerShape for final tweaks before cutting metal. This first piece is a test to confirm we work well together, but I expect a steady stream of similar jobs afterwards. Deliverables • Cleaned, feature-complete STL (for reference) • Fully parametric STEP file that opens flawlessly in Autodesk PowerShape and respects original dimensions and tolerances • Brief note on any assumptions or non-scannable areas you reconstructed I am happy to answer any technical questions once you see the sample mesh and look forward to establishing a long-term collaboration on these reverse-engineering projects.
