My in-house development team built a fully functional ERP to manage our large-scale manufacturing and export operations, yet day-to-day use feels sluggish. Endpoints take too long to resolve, database queries lag, and occasional hiccups interrupt our workflow. I’m looking for an experienced developer who can dive into the existing codebase, pinpoint the bottlenecks, and leave me with a noticeably faster, error-free system—all within the next month. ​The core modules (inventory, B2B/B2C sales, manufacturing tracking, reporting, and everything in between) already work; the goal is to make them run smoothly. You’ll need to review the current architecture, container resource allocation, database design, and API interactions, then implement optimizations without disrupting live, high-volume operations. ​Key deliverables: ​Detailed diagnostic report outlining the root causes of slow performance (e.g., API latency, database bottlenecks, or container overhead). ​Refactored or rewritten components that eliminate those delays. ​Clear documentation of changes and structured outlines so my internal coders can straightforwardly manage future updates. ​A brief performance test suite demonstrating measurable speed improvements. ​The Stack: Our system relies on a Python and FastAPI backend, alongside Node.js, communicating with a modular PostgreSQL database, all containerized via Docker. We also utilize Flutter for cross-platform applications and integrate with Odoo. If you’re comfortable profiling Postgres queries, caching intelligently within containerized environments, and applying best practices for enterprise-grade transactional systems, you’ll feel right at home. ​Acceptance criteria: API response and query times cut by at least 50% under normal load, zero new errors in the Docker logs, and all existing functionality perfectly preserved.
