Phase 1: Patent Technical Review (5-15 hours) We have a draft patent specification for a real-time interactive entertainment platform. We need a senior engineer to: Review technical claims - Ensure they're architecturally sound and implementable Refine technical language - Add specificity where needed, flag any gaps Validate feasibility - Confirm the described system can handle scale requirements Suggest additions - Any technical features we should claim that would strengthen the patent Document architecture - Create technical diagrams that support the patent claims You'll review claims covering: Real-time vote aggregation with configurable thresholds Fallback logic for guaranteed playback continuity Second-screen synchronization (QR, metadata markers) Paid influence weighting mechanics Gamification systems (points, leaderboards, mini-games) Partner API/SDK integration Cross-session state persistence Deliverables: Annotated feedback on patent specification Recommended technical revisions Architecture diagram(s) validating the approach Implementation feasibility assessment Required Experience Must-haves: 5+ years backend development Real-time systems (WebSocket, concurrent users at scale) Redis, Node.js or Python, AWS/GCP Experience building systems that handle thousands of simultaneous users Critical for this role: Ability to read and understand patent claims Experience translating technical requirements to/from legal language OR prior experience working with patent attorneys on technical specs Nice to have: Previous patent involvement (as inventor, technical consultant, or reviewer) Streaming/media platform experience System architecture documentation experience Ideal Candidate You've either: Been named on a patent and worked with attorneys to refine technical claims Consulted on patent applications as a technical expert Built systems in regulated industries requiring precise technical documentation Strong technical writing skills with attention to precise language To Apply Relevant experience - Real-time systems you've built Patent experience (if any) - Have you contributed to patent specifications before?
