Scope of Work Power BI Dashboard Development – PO & PR Performance – One Week duration 1. Project Overview This project aims to design, develop, and deliver a fully interactive Power BI dashboard that provides comprehensive visibility into Purchase Orders (POs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) performance and insights. The dashboard requirements are defined in the Summary sheet, which specifies: • Required KPIs • Analytical views • Filters and selection logic • Key insights to be displayed The Balady2 sheet will serve as the primary and sole data source for all data modeling, calculations, and visualizations. 2. Objectives The objectives of this project are to: • Translate business requirements from the Summary sheet into an executive-ready Power BI dashboard • Enable dynamic analysis by Sector, PO/PR, Period, Year, and YTD (Yes/No) • Accurately implement all KPIs, metrics, and insights defined in the Summary sheet • Provide clear trend analysis, performance comparison, and progress tracking • Deliver a scalable and well-structured Power BI solution with post-delivery support 3. Scope of Work 3.1 Requirements Analysis & Alignment • Review and analyze the Summary sheet to extract: o KPIs and metrics o Required visuals o Filtering and slicing logic o Insight narratives and summaries • Review the Balady2 sheet to: o Understand data structure and fields o Identify required transformations and calculated attributes • Confirm alignment between business definitions and dashboard logic (e.g., Periods, YTD behavior, Plan vs Actual) 3.2 Data Preparation & Transformation • Clean and standardized data using Power Query • Prepare and transform: o Date fields (Month, Quarter, Half-Year, Year) o Sector classification o PO / PR identifiers o Period and YTD flags • Handle nulls, inconsistencies, and formatting issues • Ensure the dataset is optimized for refresh and performance 3.3 Data Modeling • Design and implement a robust Power BI data model including: o Fact tables for PO and PR financial data o Dimension tables for Sector, Period, Year, and PO/PR type • Define relationships, cardinality, and filter directions • Optimize the model for performance and scalability 3.4 Measures & Calculations (DAX) Develop all required DAX measures, including but not limited to: • Plan, Actual, and Variance • Variance percentage • YTD calculations driven by user selection (Yes / No) • Period-based aggregations (Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Year, EOY) • Trend and progress indicators • KPIs and calculations exactly as defined in the Summary sheet • PO, RR, Project name search engine(s) 3.5 Dashboard Design & Visualization Design a professional and intuitive Power BI dashboard including: Filters & Slicers • Sector • PO or PR • Period (Month / Quarter / Half-Year / YTD / EOY) • Year • YTD (Yes / No) Visuals • Bar charts showing Plan vs Actual • % Budget utilization is Cage chart • Trend or slope lines illustrating progress • KPI cards and summary indicators • Tables and matrices for detailed views • Highlighted insight sections aligned with the Summary sheet Dynamic Behavior • When Qs, Hs, YTD, or EOY are selected: o Displaying all applicable months with Plan vs Actual bars o Show trend/progress lines • When a specific month is selected: o Display Plan vs Actual for that month only • Create a search engine using PO, PR, Sector, PO/Project Name and display all relevant data • Most of the important formulas are there, however, it is subject to freelancer judgment and modifications • I believe one group of formulas will be created by the free lancer and replicated based on the selection required 3.6 Insights & Executive Reporting • Implement all key insights as defined in the Summary sheet • Highlight: o Over-performance and under-performance o Spending trends and anomalies o Sector-level comparisons • Ensure insights are clear, concise, and suitable for executive decision-making 3.7 Usability, Performance & Interactivity • Ensure consistent formatting and labeling • Enable seamless cross-filtering and interactions • Optimize performance for large datasets • Ensure the dashboard is intuitive and easy to navigate 3.8 Testing, Validation & Refinement • Validate all calculations against the Summary sheet • Test all slicer combinations and scenarios • Resolve defects and inconsistencies • Incorporate feedback and finalize the dashboard 4. Deliverables The freelancer shall deliver: 1. A fully functional Power BI (.pbix) file including: o Clean and optimized data model o Documented DAX measures o Fully interactive dashboards 2. Technical documentation covering: o Data model overview o Key calculations and logic o Data refresh guidance 3. A finalized, approved dashboard ready for operational use ________________________________________ 5. Milestones 1. Milestone 4 – Testing & Final Delivery o Validation completed o Feedback incorporated o Final dashboard delivered 5. Acceptance Criteria The project will be considered accepted when: • All KPIs and insights from the Summary sheet are correctly implemented • Filters and slicers function accurately across all visuals • Period, YTD, and aggregation logic behaves as defined • Plan vs Actual values and trends are accurate • Search engine(s) validated and approved • Dashboard performance is stable and responsive • Deliverables are submitted and approved without critical defects 7. Post-Delivery Support (Mandatory) The freelancer must provide one (1) month of post-delivery support, which includes: • Bug fixes • Minor enhancements • Calculation adjustments • Visual refinements • Clarifications and technical support related to the delivered dashboard This support period is a mandatory requirement and must be included in the project pricing.
