I’m ready to launch a professional author website to showcase my new book and would like a developer who can translate a modern-and-clean design vision into a fully functional site. Core structure The site will include six public pages—Home, Chapter Index, Resources, About, Promote, and Legal + Contact. The Home page should quickly introduce the book and invite visitors deeper into the content. The Chapter Index is critical: I’m building a RAG-based system that provides keyword search and inline citations, and your code will need to accommodate that integration the moment it’s ready. Resources simply lists assets chapter-by-chapter (33 in total). The remaining pages are straightforward informational sections that round out the author platform. Look & feel Please keep the aesthetic professional, uncluttered, and responsive so the layout feels at home on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Subtle animation or micro-interactions are welcome as long as they don’t sacrifice load speed. Tech considerations I’m flexible on stack—WordPress with a custom theme, a lightweight static-site generator, or a React-based SPA are all on the table—as long as future maintenance is uncomplicated and the Chapter Index integration remains seamless. Basic SEO, SSL, and analytics setup should be part of your build process. Deliverables • Fully deployed website with the six pages above • Admin access or repo hand-off for future content edits • Documentation on how to plug in my RAG search module If you have recent examples of author or book sites, send them along; they’ll help me gauge fit. The look of the website will be heavily tied to the image for the cover of the book.
