Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Python developer (or engineer highly familiar with Python-based applications) to assist with receiving a large website/application transfer, setting it up in a new environment, and validating that the platform is fully functional. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with incomplete documentation, diagnosing issues, and independently validating that the application works end-to-end. Scope of Work Receive and review a transferred Python-based website/application Set up the application in a designated server or hosting environment Install and configure all required dependencies, libraries, and frameworks Configure environment variables, services, and database connections Troubleshoot errors or missing components Test core functionality to confirm the platform operates as intended Provide a clear summary of findings, issues, and recommendations Requirements Strong experience with Python (Django, Flask, or similar frameworks) Experience deploying applications in Linux-based environments Familiarity with server configuration, permissions, and environment setup Ability to quickly identify gaps in documentation or incomplete transfers Clear communication and ability to document findings What to Include in Your Proposal Brief overview of your relevant experience Examples of similar application transfer or deployment projects Estimated timeline to complete setup and testing Hourly rate or fixed-fee proposal Any initial questions or assumptions
