I manage almost 500 escrow accounts inside QuickBooks Online and each year I have to generate an “Escrow Activity Statement” for every single organization. The report already exists in QBO; the only part missing is an efficient way to feed it a list of organization names, export each statement as a PDF, and drop those files onto our local server—complete with every transaction line and the custom fields we track. Here’s what I need built: a small, repeatable routine that accepts a variable-length list of organization names, loops through them one by one, runs the existing custom report, exports the result in PDF format, and saves the file to a specified network folder using a clear naming convention. Nothing should be stored inside QuickBooks or on a cloud drive; everything lands on our in-house server. Deliverables • Well-commented source code or script that connects to QuickBooks Online (Intuit API / SDK, Python, Node, or similar) • Configuration notes so I can update the organization list and change the destination path without editing the code • One test run showing that PDFs include full transaction details and our custom fields for a sample set of organizations Acceptance criteria • A PDF is created for every name supplied and totals match the on-screen QBO report • Files appear in the target folder with no naming collisions or missing reports If you have experience automating QuickBooks Online reporting and reliable file handling to a local server, this should be a straightforward engagement.
