I have a single .RCP scan weighing in at roughly four billion points and I need it turned into a clean, watertight mesh ready for high-end visualization. The final file I will work with is an FBX, kept at the highest detail level my data allows. Terrain features are the focus, so slope breaks, subtle elevation changes, and natural surface textures must read clearly in the mesh. Because of the data size, this job calls for a workstation with enough GPU memory and storage bandwidth to process the entire cloud without resorting to aggressive decimation or tiling that would soften the result.
