SharePoint Site Setup & Organization for Youth Non-Profit (First Tee) Project Description: We are a local chapter of First Tee, a youth development organization. We need a freelancer to help us build and organize a SharePoint Online site. Our goal is to move away from shared drives and email attachments to a centralized digital hub for our small team of board, staff, coaches, and key volunteers. We need someone who can set up the structure and permissions correctly from day one. We are not looking for heavy custom coding; we need a clean, user-friendly site that our non-technical team can actually use. Scope of Work / Key Deliverables: 1. Site Setup & Architecture: · Create a modern Team Site (or Communication Site) in SharePoint Online. · Set up a logical navigation and homepage with easy-to-click links for different departments (e.g., Programs, Volunteers, Admin). 2. Document Libraries & Organization: · Create libraries for key areas (e.g., "Curriculum," "Volunteer Handbooks," "Board Meetings"). · Set up Columns/Metadata (e.g., "Program Year," "Audience," "Document Type") so we can filter and find documents easily—not just folders inside folders. 3. Permissions & Security: · Advise on the best permission structure. · Set up access so that, for example, the "Board" library is private to board members, while "Programs" is open to all coaches. 4. Simple Automation (Power Automate): · Create one or two simple flows. For example: Send an email to the Program Director when a new volunteer uploads a background check form. 5. Training / Handoff: · Provide a brief 15-minute video or simple PDF guide on how we can maintain the site ourselves (adding new users, creating new folders/lists). Required Skills & Experience: · Proven experience with SharePoint Online (Office 365). · Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions/groups. · Experience designing Document Libraries with metadata and columns. · Familiarity with Power Automate for basic workflows. · Ability to explain technical concepts in plain English. Nice to Have (but not required): · Experience working with non-profits or educational organizations. · Basic design sense (matching our logo/colors in the site header). Budget: [Insert your budget range or "Open to hourly/fixed-price proposals"] Application Checklist: Please include the following in your proposal: 1. A link to your portfolio or screenshots of SharePoint sites you have built. 2. A brief explanation of how you would organize files for an organization with coaches and volunteers (just 2-3 sentences). 3. Your availability this month.
