Spacious Living Room Design -- 2

My living room gets plenty of daylight from large windows, yet the current arrangement feels cramped and disconnected. I want a complete design package that opens the space up visually, keeps circulation effortless, and projects an airy, welcoming mood. Scope of work – Re-plan the floor layout so furniture placement guides movement naturally and leaves clear pathways. – Build a light, spacious colour palette (think soft neutrals, subtle contrast accents) that works with the existing daylight and still looks warm under evening lighting. – Layer lighting: optimise the natural light, specify ambient fixtures, and pinpoint task or accent lights to add depth after sunset. – Select appropriately-scaled furniture pieces; nothing bulky that overwhelms the room, yet comfortable for everyday use. – Combine textures—wood, metal, and refined fabrics—to add quiet richness without clutter. – Curate décor: plants, mirrors, rugs, frames, and a few art pieces that tie everything together while enhancing the open feel. – Ensure every design decision keeps practicality front and centre: storage, easy maintenance, and logical placement for daily routines. Deliverables • Scaled floor plan (PDF or DWG) showing all furniture and traffic flow • Colour & material board with paint codes / samples • Lighting scheme with fixture specs and switching plan • Furniture and décor shopping list with dimensions and sources • 3–4 high-quality 3D renders or styled SketchUp views illustrating the final concept • A brief styling guide so I can implement the look confidently Acceptance criteria: walking paths minimum 1.2 m wide; visual balance across all elevations; daylight glare managed; all items commercially available or clearly custom-labelled. Preferred tools are SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar; Photoshop for boards is fine. All files should be share-ready via Google Drive or Dropbox. Let’s create a living room that feels bigger, brighter, and truly functional.
