I already have every screen designed and I am building them in Swift; what’s missing is the engine that makes the experience come alive. I’m looking for someone who can wire the app to a rock-solid, GDPR-compliant backend and integrate Plaid’s Transactions endpoint so European users can link their bank, see their data instantly, and receive playful insights on spending. Backend I’m flexible on the server stack—Node.js, Django/Flask, or Rails all work for me—as long as it offers strong encryption, role-based access, and clear data-retention policies. We’ll decide together which option fits best, spin up the APIs, and document them in OpenAPI/Swagger for easy hand-off. Plaid You’ll embed Plaid Link in the iOS client, handle the token exchange, and set up secure webhooks so new transactions flow straight to the app. Proper storage of processor and access tokens, plus periodic refresh logic, is critical. Core app logic • User authentication (email, Apple ID, Keychain token storage) • Real-time data sync between device, Plaid, and backend • Transaction aggregation and refresh scheduling • Lightweight financial calculations that turn raw numbers into friendly charts and tips • Push notifications to celebrate milestones or flag unusual spending Workflow We’ll pair via GitHub branches and pull requests, meet briefly each day, and test via TestFlight. I’ll supply all UI assets, copy, and a complete Figma file; you focus on the plumbing and brainpower. Deliverable An updated Xcode project plus backend repo where a user can (1) sign up, (2) link a bank account, and (3) see their latest transactions and insights within seconds, with everything encrypted in transit and at rest.
