I’m reaching out from an EdTech start-up building SMART AI learning solutions for educators and families. We are currently developing our mobile and web platform, with a target launch in Summer 2026. We have an immediate need for an experienced UI designer to support us on a short-term consultancy basis. Our mobile app designs are currently around 80% complete in Figma, and we are looking for someone with a strong eye for modern, sleek, intuitive app design to review the existing work and help us elevate the overall user interface. The core objective is not to redesign the app from scratch, but to provide expert feedback, improvement suggestions, and design enhancements that make the product feel more polished, smooth, lightweight, and aligned with a premium modern mobile app experience. The initial scope would include: - Reviewing our current mobile app Figma designs - Providing feedback on areas that feel bulky, dated, or visually inconsistent - Suggesting improvements to layout, spacing, hierarchy, components, navigation, and overall UI style - Sharing examples or quick mock-ups of how key screens could be improved -Advising on how to create a more sleek, modern, and user-friendly interface - Potentially helping us implement agreed improvements directly in Figma - This is a time-sensitive project, so we are looking for someone who is available to start immediately or very soon. We are open to working on a flexible hourly basis, depending on your experience and availability. Please feel free to share your hourly rate, estimated availability over the coming days, and any relevant examples of mobile app UI work you’ve completed. As part of the selection process, we would ideally like to understand your initial thoughts on how you would approach improving an existing mobile app design that is already largely built out. If available, we can share selected Figma screens for your review so you can provide high-level comments before we confirm the engagement. If the collaboration goes well, there is also potential for further design work, as we will shortly require support with additional web app design requirements for the Linxed platform.
