I’m building a real-time, free-walk VR tour of an industrial process facility to support our technical sales team. Using Unity, I want visitors to move naturally through the model, trigger light interactions (climb stairs, and interact lightly with the equipment using simple UI clicks) and hear a guided narrative that calls out key equipment. When a hotspot is reached, an overlay should appear with specifications, schematics or short video loops. The same project must run smoothly on HTC Vive, Meta Quest (both standalone and Link) and standard PC-based VR rigs, so solid experience with cross-platform asset management, GPU instancing and general performance optimisation is essential. Your portfolio should include at least one comparable free-locomotion or enterprise walkthrough that shows you can: • handle large, CAD-derived geometry without killing frame-rate • choreograph timed voice-over or text narration in-scene • script lightweight interactions via Unity XR Interaction Toolkit (or your proven alternative) Deliverables • Unity project with clean, commented C# scripts • Platform-specific builds + installation instructions • A brief optimisation report outlining what you changed and why • Two revision cycle after internal review At a minimum, the developer shall deliver: 1. A Unity-based VR walkthrough application with: o Free-walk navigation o Guided facility walkthrough structure o Light interaction with selected equipment 2. An optimized facility 3D model integrated into Unity 3. A VR-ready executable build suitable for client demonstrations 4. Unity project source files 5.
