I have a small, single-purpose accounting app that lets me record daily credit-debit entries. The current build was compiled years ago, so Android now blocks the installation outright on recent versions. My goal is simple: make the same APK install and run flawlessly on the latest Android release without losing any existing features or data formats. You will be working only with the APK package I provide; no original source code is available. That means the job will probably involve decompiling, updating the target/compile SDK level, handling any permission or file-storage changes introduced since Android 11, rebuilding, and signing the package again. Once installed, the app should still open its main ledger screen, allow new credit/debit entries, and save them exactly as before. Deliverables • A signed, installable APK that passes installation on the current Play-protect checks and launches without errors on stock Android 13/14 devices. • A brief changelog or comment file outlining what was modified so I can keep track for future maintenance. • (Optional but appreciated) Any reconstructed source or project files that will make later updates easier, shared in a standard Android Studio structure.
