Our current site, https://www.rodsandblinds.co.nz/, still runs on an older release of PHP. I want the entire codebase lifted to the latest stable PHP version and, while you are there, I would like to bolt on a couple of valuable improvements. Alternatively, we could move to shopify with plugins... Preference will be given to companies in the Phillippines as we already have a small team based there. The main goal is to add new features. At the top of the list is an enhanced search experience built around straightforward keyword queries; the simpler and faster it feels for shoppers, the better. I would also like the upgrade to make ongoing SEO work easier—cleaner URLs, tidy meta-data handling and any other low-hanging fruit you can expose once the code is modernised. Deliverables • Code migrated to the current mainstream PHP version, with all deprecated functions replaced and dependencies updated. • A robust “search by keywords” module integrated into the existing interface, returning relevant product results quickly. • Structural tweaks that improve on-page SEO friendliness (e.g., semantic markup, optimised title/meta tags handled in the CMS). • Full regression testing so every existing page, payment flow and contact form behaves exactly as it does today—or better. • Deployment plan and a brief hand-over note explaining new settings, libraries and any server adjustments required. All work happens on a staging clone first; once I sign off, you can schedule the final push to the live New Zealand server during our off-peak hours.
