System places a credit card authorization hold (not a charge) 5. Authorization ID is stored and linked to the reservation 6. System adds tags and notes to the reservation in Hostex Example: Tag: Deposit Authorized Note: Authorization ID + amount Deposit Management I need a simple interface where I can easily: • view active authorization holds • capture a hold if there are damages or minibar charges • release the hold manually if needed Automatic Release If no action is taken, the system must automatically release the authorization hold 2 days after guest checkout.
