I’m launching a brand-new site that will showcase my artwork, and I want every piece to speak—literally. For each image in the gallery I need a companion audio track that plays when the viewer lands on that slide, with clear controls so visitors can pause or replay if they wish. My preference is to build on WordPress for the flexibility it offers, but I’m open to another platform if you feel that’s the smarter route for smooth, reliable audio-visual syncing. Because I’m starting from scratch, I’ll rely on you for theme guidance. The site should feel artistic and colorful, staying light on text so the images and sound take center stage. I expect the finished build to load quickly, look great on mobile and desktop, and leave me with an easy way to upload new artwork-audio pairs later without touching code. Deliverables I’ll review for acceptance: • A live WordPress (or recommended alternative) site installed on my hosting with SSL configured • A responsive slideshow/gallery that links each image to its own audio file, autoplaying on slide change and throttled so multiple tracks never overlap • Clear back-end fields or custom post type that lets me add future artwork, upload its audio, set captions, and reorder slides • Basic colour and typography styling that matches an energetic, gallery-style mood • A brief hand-off guide or loom video walking me through adding new content If you have experience integrating audio into galleries—perhaps using plugins like Elementor, Gutenberg blocks, ACF, or a lightweight JS player—let me see an example. I am not dead set on using Wordpress as I find updates are numerous, so I have been looking at Squarespace and Hostinger website builder too. I have included a sample of my Art.
