Role Overview Gov2Biz is seeking a senior, freelance content writer with experience in GovTech, public sector technology, enterprise SaaS, or IT modernization. This role focuses on producing and refining high-impact, executive-level content for U.S. state and local government audiences. The writer will contribute one key content asset every 15–30 days and play a critical role in reviewing, editing, and elevating content produced by internal and external contributors. Key Responsibilities Content Creation • Thought leadership articles • Whitepapers, ebooks, and long-form guides • Executive-level narratives and leadership messaging • Strategic campaign content • High-impact case studies • Event, webinar, and product positioning documents Review, Editing, and Content Refinement • Review and edit content produced by internal teams or freelancers • Rewrite and restructure drafts for clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment • Ensure polished American English and GovTech accuracy • Strengthen drafts into publication-ready assets • Provide clear editorial guidance and feedback • Ensure content reflects current GovTech trends and agency pain points Required Skills and Expertise • Exceptional writing and editing skills for U.S. government audiences • Strong understanding of GovTech, digital government, SaaS, or IT modernization • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear insights • Strong research skills • Experience writing for government, consulting, or B2B technology companies • Ability to work independently Content Experience (Preferred) • Whitepapers, guides, and research reports • Executive ghostwriting (CEO/CIO) • Podcast, webinar, and video scripts • Email campaigns and LinkedIn content Preferred Background • Min 6–12+ years of relevant experience • Prior GovTech or public-sector SaaS experience • Portfolio of long-form strategic content
