I need a focused CAT application whose sole purpose is rock-solid terminology management for our translation projects. While most off-the-shelf suites try to do everything, I only care about one thing: keeping the right terms in front of translators the moment they need them. Here is what the tool must let us do: • Import and export glossaries in common formats like CSV, TBX or XLSX without losing metadata. • Search, filter and auto-suggest approved terms in real time while translating. • Store context sentences, notes, synonyms and “do-not-use” flags so brand language stays consistent. • Work with any language pair; we start with English–Spanish, English–Chinese and English–German, but the database has to stay completely Unicode-agnostic. • Offer role-based access (linguist, reviewer, admin) and maintain a simple version history so we can audit changes. • Provide an API or plug-in hook that lets us surface term hits inside the CAT tools our freelancers already use (memoQ, Trados, Phrase, etc.). Acceptance criteria 1. A running web or desktop build that passes functional testing on Windows and macOS. 2. Successful round-trip of a 5,000-entry glossary with all metadata intact. 3. Live term suggestion demo while typing in any of the three initial language pairs. 4. Clean, well-documented source code and deployment instructions.
