custom zoho book invoicing to add additional columns and calculation

Hello, We are using Zoho Books (UAE VAT module enabled) for both B2C and B2B invoicing. Currently, each invoice contains multiple services (often 10–15+), and each service consists of: Government fees (VAT exempt) Service/processing charges (VAT @ 5%) Typing or administrative charges (VAT @ 5%) Our challenge is invoice presentation. If each component is shown as a separate line item, the invoice becomes too long and difficult for customers to read. Desired outcome: We want the invoice to display a summarized table with limited rows, while still maintaining correct VAT treatment and accounting accuracy in Zoho Books. Specifically, we would like to explore whether customization (Deluge + template customization) can achieve the following: A summarized invoice table with grouped charges (e.g., Government Fees, Service Charges, Typing Fees) Clear distinction between VAT-exempt and VAT-applicable amounts Correct VAT calculation and reporting in Zoho VAT reports Backend logic that aggregates multiple detailed services into summarized lines No VAT applied to government fees We understand Zoho Books does not natively support multiple tax treatments within a single line item, so we are open to: Deluge-based aggregation of line items Custom invoice template adjustments Any supported workaround that keeps the invoice short, readable, and UAE FTA compliant Please advise: What level of customization is feasible Any limitations we should be aware of Recommended best-practice approach in Zoho Books
