Dental Guided Surgery Planner

I need a software solution that streamlines guided-surgery treatment planning specifically for oral surgeons. The core workflow must let the clinician import CBCT / DICOM data together with intra-oral or model STL files, automatically align them, and then inspect the case in full 3-D. Real-time visualization—slice views, volume rendering, and model manipulation—has to feel seamless on an average clinic computer; I do not want my users waiting for a render to complete before rotating or zooming. From there the surgeon should be able to place virtual implants, position sleeves, evaluate bone volume, and export an STL surgical-guide file ready for 3-D printing. Accuracy is critical, so please incorporate common calibration protocols and allow millimetre-level measurement tools inside the viewer. Although 3-D imaging and visualization is the only mandatory feature for the first release, the architecture should leave room for later additions such as digital workflow integration or a patient-wide clinical data store—so think modular plug-in design and clear API boundaries. Deliverables (acceptance criteria) • Executable installation package (Windows or cross-platform) plus commented source code • Step-by-step build instructions and a brief user manual • Successful test on at least one full CBCT + STL case demonstrating import, alignment, implant planning, guide export, and print verification If you have previous experience with medical-imaging toolkits (e.g., VTK, ITK, 3D Slicer modules) or dental CAD/CAM pipelines, please weave that expertise into the proposed technical approach and timeline.
