Hi talented developers, I am looking for a strong, communicative MERN stack developer (or Next.js experience is a big plus) to help us improve and stabilize our existing e-commerce / multi-vendor marketplace website. Current situation: The website is already live and has real customers (around 8–12k monthly visitors) Current Tech Stack: Frontend: React 18, Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, Tailwind CSS Backend: Node.js, Express, MongoDB (TypeScript) Forms & Validation: React Hook Form (planning to add Zod) Deployment: Frontend on Vercel Backend on Render / DigitalOcean Codebase: Backend in TypeScript Frontend in JavaScript (gradual migration to TypeScript planned) Main tasks we need help with (estimated 80–140 hours total depending on your speed & experience) Critical bug fixes & stability improvements (around 15–20 known issues – mostly edge cases, race conditions, cart sync problems, payment callback failures) Performance optimizations Reduce initial load time (currently ~3.2–4.8s on mobile) Lazy loading + code splitting improvements Image optimization (already using next/image like patterns) New features medium priority (pick 3–4 depending on budget) Advanced product filtering with multiple attributes (size, color, material + price range slider) Real-time order status updates for customers (using Socket.io) Wishlist + Recently viewed products carousel Improved mobile navigation (mega menu + bottom tab bar) Basic admin dashboard analytics (daily sales, top products, visitor stats) Code quality & future-proofing Start gradual TypeScript migration on important frontend parts Better folder structure & component organization Add proper loading/error states everywhere Improve form handling (currently using basic React Hook Form – want to add Zod schema validation) What we provide: Full access to private GitHub repo Access to live & staging environments Detailed Notion documentation + list of current bugs prioritized Clear design references (mostly Figma + some live site screenshots) Quick responses (usually same day) What we expect from you: Very good English communication (written + preferably voice calls) At least 3–4 years professional React experience Experience with real e-commerce projects (bonus if multi-vendor) Clean, maintainable code + proper commit messages You test your own work before sending PR (we hate "it works on my machine" situations) Please in your bid/proposal include: Your real hourly rate or fixed price estimate Link to 1–2 similar projects you've done (especially e-commerce) How many hours/week you can dedicate Rough timeline estimate for the bug fixes + first 2 new features We want a long-term cooperation (this is phase 1 of 3 planned phases).
