I am running Odoo 14 Community and have run into a frustrating inconsistency. When I generate an invoice (account.move) and click “Print,” the PDF is perfect. However, when the exact same report is attached to an outgoing email, the recipient receives a file with broken text alignment, missing graphics, and incorrect fonts. Nothing in the standard email template has been altered, so the issue must sit somewhere between the report rendering engine (wkhtmltopdf / QWeb) and the attachment process that embeds the PDF in the outgoing message. I am not sure whether other templates are affected; the default invoice template is the one in active use. I need someone who can quickly pinpoint the root cause and apply a clean fix—whether that involves adjusting assets, upgrading wkhtmltopdf, tweaking headers/footers, or patching Odoo’s mail composer—so that the PDF attached to every email looks exactly like the one produced when I download it manually. Acceptance criteria • Any invoice, credit note, or similar account.move record emailed from Odoo retains identical formatting to the on-screen print preview. • No loss of images, fonts, or alignment in the attachment, regardless of mail client used by the recipient. • A brief summary of what was changed (settings, code, or server packages) so I can reproduce the fix in staging or future upgrades. If you have resolved similar PDF/email quirks in Odoo before, I’d like to get this wrapped up quickly.
