Redesign plastic part for an interior design product. I need someone who has experience in injection moulding product design. The piece i have made needs redesigning. Earlier it was a die cast of zink. However tolerance was an issue and the part did not fit. The product beeing made is a poster frame made from 8x8mm 1mm thick aluminium square tubing. the corners are connected together with a corner piece. this is the piece needed to redesign. the corner part is 8x8mm square with 3 "arms" that fit into the aluminium profile. the square part should remain the same. the "arms" are that what i need a redesign of to fit better with a solution that doesnt break/bend. I am now looking to remake the piece. Here i need someone with expertiese in the are as the piece needs to 1. be able to mould. 2. fit perfectly into aluminium square profile 8x8mm - 1mm thick. 3. suggestion of mechanism to lock the piece into the aluminium profile. some type of click in function or other of your suggestion. 4. some material knowledge as the plastic can not ben and the frame be crooked.
