Scope of work • Remove existing rug and underlay, inspect the sub-structure and make any minor repairs needed for a sound base. • Mill, fit and secure new treads, risers, stringers, nosing and handrail in a classic profile that matches the period trim already in the house. • Sand, stain (if required) and apply a high-build clear gloss coat that cures hard and is easy to maintain. • Finish with quarter-round or shoe-moulding for a seamless look and tidy up the site on completion. I’ll provide access for precise measurements and can coordinate around your workshop schedule.
