I need a mobile application built entirely in Java so it runs natively on Android devices. The job covers everything from setting up the project structure through Android Studio, writing clean and well-documented code, to packaging a signed APK that is ready for Play Store submission. Core expectations • Architect the project using standard Android components (Activities, Fragments, ViewModels, Room or equivalent) and follow modern best practices. • Implement a clear, modular codebase so future features can be added without refactoring large sections. • Apply Material Design guidelines for a smooth, responsive UI. • Handle common mobile concerns—offline data caching, state persistence, and graceful error handling. • Write concise unit tests and an instrumentation test or two to prove critical flows work. • Comment key classes and provide a short README explaining build steps, dependencies, and how to generate the release build. Deliverables 1. Complete Java source code in a Git repository. 2. Debug and release APKs plus signed AAB. 3. README with build/run instructions and an overview of the app architecture. 4. Brief test report showing all tests pass on at least one emulator and one physical device. Once I review the code, confirm the build instructions reproduce the release build, and verify that the app installs and launches without crashes, the project will be considered complete.
