I need a full-featured website (or standalone software with a web front end) that lets farmers and agents run live bidding sessions for cattle, sheep, and other stock. The core requirement is genuine LIVE bidding: bidders should see current price updates instantly, place bids in real time, and watch a countdown that auto-extends if a bid arrives in the final seconds. I do NOT need video streaming at this stage, so you can focus all resources on low-latency bid updates and rock-solid stability rather than handling live feeds. Secure payments must be baked in from day one—credit and debit cards as well as direct bank transfers are required for settlement straight after the hammer falls. Core workflow I have in mind • Admin lists a lot with photos, weight notes, reserve price, and bidding increments. • Registered buyers receive approval, fund verification, and can join the sale once it opens. • During the auction everyone sees the live price ladder update instantly, with clear indicators of who is leading. • When bidding closes, the system issues invoices automatically and routes buyers to the chosen payment option (card gateway or bank EFT instructions). • A back-office panel lets me reconcile payments, generate sale reports, and archive past events. Deliverables 1. Responsive web platform (mobile-friendly) or installable package ready to deploy on my VPS. 2. Real-time bid engine using WebSockets, SignalR, or an equivalent low-latency tech. 3. Integration with a mainstream card processor and secure bank-transfer instructions workflow. 4. Admin dashboard, buyer/seller accounts, and basic analytics. 5. Documentation and short hand-over call so I can run future auctions myself. If you already have experience building auction platforms—especially those that handled high-frequency updates—please let me know what stack you would use and provide links to any live demos.
