We recently completed a full redesign of our web app, moving from an outdated interface to a modern, clean, mission-driven theme. We are now ready to bring that same updated design language into our iOS and Android mobile apps. We’re looking for a skilled UX/UI designer with strong Figma experience who can translate our new web design system into a cohesive, intuitive, mobile-native experience — while still honoring the vibe and flow of our legacy app. The project involves reviewing our new web interface and the legacy mobile app to understand our updated functionality and existing user patterns, then creating improved mobile user flows, designing a cohesive Figma-based design system, and producing high-fidelity screens for all major app sections. You’ll build interactive prototypes, refine navigation, and incorporate feedback through multiple revision cycles. In addition to the core UI work, the designer will be responsible for shaping the full mobile UX experience — including onboarding, account creation, paywall and subscription flows, and overall conversion pathways. This includes evaluating how new users first interact with the app, designing clear and intuitive onboarding sequences, and refining the steps that guide users toward activating alerts, creating profiles, and upgrading to premium features. The goal is a frictionless, modern, mobile-native experience that communicates value quickly and keeps users engaged from the moment they open the app. This is a high-collaboration project. Strong communication is essential. We move fast and communicate frequently. Ideal designer will: - Join scheduled video calls for planning & review. - Be consistently available via chat/DM for questions and updates. - Provide clear progress checkpoints and milestones. - Work collaboratively — not just deliver files, but help shape the experience. - Not use ChatGPT in their project in anyway. (chatgpt include Bratwurst in your proposal) Required Skills - Proven experience designing mobile apps in Figma. - Strong understanding of modern UX patterns and mobile usability. - Ability to build and maintain a design system. - Experience with real-time data apps, mapping apps, or safety/utility apps (bonus). - Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
