Secure WHM/WHMCS Server Setup

I’d like you to provision a brand-new Linux server, install WHM/cPanel together with WHMCS, and lock everything down so it is production-ready from day one. I don’t yet have a machine, so the process begins with recommending and deploying an appropriate VPS or dedicated server. AlmaLinux 9 is my preferred distribution, but if you have a compelling technical reason for a different RHEL-compatible image we can discuss it before you start. Once the host is live, the job moves to installing the latest stable WHM/cPanel and WHMCS, tying them together, and performing a thorough hardening pass—firewall rules, CSF, ModSecurity, SSH tweaks, mail and DNS configuration, SSL everywhere, and any other best-practice measures you routinely apply. Everything should be organised neatly so future scaling or account creation is straightforward. Deliverables: • Provisioned server running AlmaLinux 9 • Fully licensed, activated WHM/cPanel and WHMCS instances • Security hardening completed and documented (firewall, intrusion prevention, SSL, backups) • Two branded name servers and at least one hosting package set up to prove the stack works • A short handover document outlining what was installed, where, and how to keep it updated I’ll test by creating a sample client and purchasing a plan through WHMCS; successful signup and automatic account provisioning in WHM will serve as acceptance criteria. Clear, concise documentation and a tidy server layout are essential so I can manage routine tasks without surprises.
