I run an online FM station and now need a straightforward Android app that lets listeners jump in, log in with their e-mail and password, enjoy the live stream, and hang out in a small chat room. The whole experience should feel bright, colorful, and instantly familiar—no clutter or hidden menus—just tap, play, and chat. Core functions • Secure e-mail/password sign-up and sign-in (standard Android authentication components are fine; I’ll provide the SMTP or backend endpoint you prefer). • One-tap access to the live audio stream (I’ll supply the streaming URL). • Lightweight real-time chat box that sits below or beside the player; a Firebase or similar solution works as long as messages appear instantly and come with basic username identification. • Smooth playback in the background and on lock-screen controls so users can keep listening while doing other things. Design expectations The app should lean into a colorful, vibrant palette that matches our station’s branding. Think bold accent colors, clean typography, and large touch targets that make sense on any modern Android device. I’m happy to share the logo and HEX codes once we start. Deliverables • Complete Android Studio project (Kotlin or Java). • Signed release APK ready for Play Store submission. • Brief README explaining build steps and where to switch out stream URLs, colors, or backend keys. If you have a quick example of a similar player or chat implementation, it’ll help me assess stability. Let’s keep the scope tight, user-friendly, and geared toward getting listeners tuned in within seconds.
