I’m planning a one-off, full-scale widebody conversion for a classic Volvo P1800 and need a 3D automotive designer who can take the concept all the way from sketches to fabrication-ready CAD. The visual language is deliberately bold: think retro coupé proportions infused with cyberpunk aggressiveness, trimmed in forged carbon and wood-grain vinyl. Every surface you create must be beautiful on screen yet manufacturable in the real world. Scope and expectations • Model depth: I require a detailed component breakdown, not just a shell. Each part must be isolated, parametrically accurate and ready for CNC tooling or large-format 3D printing. • Kit coverage: fenders, side skirts, front and rear bumpers, roof and hood extensions, plus modular panels that split sensibly for printer beds, along with splitter, diffuser, wing and functional vents. • References I’ll supply: a mix of existing widebody kits, concept art from games and films, my own sketches and mood boards showing the retro-cyberpunk, SEMA-inspired direction and the wood-plus-carbon material palette. Deliverables 1. Native CAD files (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA or similar) with fully defined assemblies and part files. 2. STL/STEP exports sliced into printer-friendly sections with indexed joints. 3. 1:1 scale drawings or templates for any sheet-metal brackets or mounting hardware. 4. A short build report explaining fastening strategy, material thicknesses and recommended print orientations. Acceptance criteria • All aerodynamic add-ons align with OEM mounting points or clearly documented new hard-points. • Panel gaps ≤ 2 mm when assembled digitally. • Surfaces validated with draft analysis for mold release and overhang checks for FDM/CF-Nylon printing. If you thrive on blending heritage shapes with futuristic flair and have a track record of turning pixels into parts, I’m eager to see your portfolio and discuss timelines.
