Website & Product Build – Comparison / Advisory Platform (WordPress + Custom Backend) I’m building a new comparison and advisory platform and I’m looking for an experienced web developer to help bring it to life properly from day one. This is not a quick template site. It’s a staged build with a long-term vision behind it, and I’m looking for someone who enjoys building things that actually get used. The project will run in two stages Stage 1 – Website and Content Foundation This stage is about credibility, trust, and lead capture. The site will include: A clean, professional website built on WordPress Blog and content structure designed for SEO Clear lead capture and enquiry flows A layout that positions the platform as independent, informative, and trustworthy The focus here is clarity, performance, and getting the foundations right. Stage 2 – Comparison Tool / Product Launch Once the site is established, we’ll move into a custom comparison product. This will likely include: A structured comparison interface (data-driven, not flashy) Backend logic for scoring, filtering, and presenting comparisons Admin-side controls to manage and update data A user experience that feels simple, helpful, and transparent This stage may involve custom development beyond standard WordPress functionality. What I’m looking for Strong experience with WordPress and custom builds Comfort working with plugins, APIs, and custom logic Ability to think beyond “just building pages” and help shape the solution Someone who communicates clearly and flags issues early Comfortable working in stages and evolving the product You don’t need to be a designer, but you should care about UX and usability. Tech stack WordPress is already live Domain and hosting are set up Open to recommendations on plugins, frameworks, and backend structure Open to phased delivery rather than one big drop How I like to work I’m practical, decisive, and value straight advice. If something won’t scale, I want to know early. If there’s a smarter way to build it, I’m open to it. This is a collaborative build, not a “do exactly this and disappear” job.
