I need an Android application that acts as a subscription-based digital notice board. End-users should be able to browse public boards as Guests, subscribe to the ones that matter to them, and—once subscribed—receive real-time alerts whenever a new notice is published or an existing one is updated. Core experience • Admins post notices in rich formats (text, images, videos, external links) and can schedule when each notice goes live or expires. • Subscribers can follow multiple boards simultaneously, comment on individual notices, and send queries back to the board owner from inside the app. • Guests may view publicly flagged boards but must subscribe to receive push notifications. Essential workflow 1. Admin creates or edits a notice, sets live/expiry times, and chooses whether comments are allowed. 2. The app pushes an immediate alert to every subscriber of that board when the notice goes live. 3. Subscribers engage via in-app comments or a simple “Ask” button that routes questions to the board owner. Key requirements • Secure role management (Admin, Subscriber, Guest). • Push notifications that scale—Firebase Cloud Messaging is fine, but I’m open to alternatives. • Intuitive UI that keeps the focus on the notice stream; Material Design is preferred. • Local caching so users can review past notices offline. • Clean, well-documented code (Kotlin or Java) delivered through a Git repository.
