I need a purpose-built payment gateway focused exclusively on bank-transfer transactions. It must give me real-time status updates for every payment, run fraud-detection checks before funds settle, and handle multi-currency flows without manual intervention. After each successful transfer the system should broadcast a “current affairs” payload—essentially a concise data snapshot of the finished transaction—so downstream services can act on it immediately. This data, along with all core functions, has to be exposed through a clean, well-documented and saleable REST API because external merchants will integrate directly into the gateway. I will run the service on my own infrastructure, so please design with containerisation in mind and lean on mainstream stacks such as Node/Express, Go or Python/FastAPI. Security best practices (PCI-DSS alignment, encrypted traffic, audit-grade logging) are assumed from day one.
