I need a small program that ingests tachogram data already stored in JSON and automatically checks it against driver-rest regulations (e.g., the EU 561/2006 daily/weekly driving-time limits and mandatory break periods). For every file processed the tool should return a clear, machine-readable list of each rule that was broken, the exact timestamp span of the offence, and a short human-friendly description so I can include it in compliance reports. Source code should be easy to run locally—Python plus pandas or a comparable stack works well for me, but I’m open to alternatives as long as setup remains straightforward. A concise README and a sample run on a provided file will complete the job.
