I need a fresh industrial design for a dual-screen POS system where longevity takes priority over aesthetics. Every external and internal element must stand up to heavy daily use in retail and hospitality environments. My top concern is durable hardware, so the concept should reinforce the: • Screens – shatter-resistant glass, reliable touch layers, and protective bezels • Body casing – rugged yet lightweight enclosure that resists impact, spills, and heat • Internal components – robust board layout and cooling strategy to maximise lifespan I will supply rough dimensions and the component stack once we start; you will return: • Initial sketches exploring form and ergonomics • Finalised 3D CAD (STEP or SolidWorks) for all parts, ready for prototyping • Exploded views and a concise BOM highlighting material choices geared for durability A short document explaining how each design decision contributes to resilience will round out the delivery. If you have experience designing ruggedised electronics or POS hardware, I’d love to see examples and hear how you would approach this brief. See reference images to get an overall idea , my expectation higher than this one
