I want to launch a full-scale marketplace that mirrors Amazon’s seller ecosystem. Any merchant must be able to sign up, pass through a simple KYC flow, and immediately begin listing both physical goods and digital items—everything from e-books and software to music, videos, or any other downloadable format we may introduce later. Core shopping features—search, layered filters, detailed product pages, customer reviews, wish-lists, and a smooth cart/checkout flow—need to feel familiar and responsive on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Payments are non-negotiable: credit and debit cards plus direct bank transfers must be live from day one, but the codebase should be flexible enough to bolt on PayPal or additional gateways without upheaval. On the merchant side, sellers need a dedicated dashboard for product uploads, inventory and order tracking, payout schedules, commission management, and basic analytics. From my admin panel I should be able to approve or suspend sellers, adjust category structures, set percentage fees, trigger manual payouts, and review disputes. Performance and scalability are critical—think thousands of SKUs and heavy concurrent traffic.
