Our century-old local horticultural society needs a fresh, easy-to-manage website so members can quickly see what’s happening and new visitors feel welcome. The main job is to publish meeting notes and keep an always-up-to-date calendar of events, yet I also want space for planting schedules and a modest seed shop. Right now the site looks tired and the hosting is unreliable, so I’m starting again on a modern platform—WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or something similarly straightforward—and I will supply all copy, photos and PDFs. What I need from you is the build, a clean design that reflects our passion for biodiversity, and a simple way for committee members to log in and add or edit content without digging into code. Key deliverables • Responsive website on an intuitive CMS • Pages: Home, Upcoming Meetings & Events, Meeting & AGM Minutes archive, Planting Schedules & Tips, Seed Shop, About/Join Us, Contact • Seed Shop: up to a dozen products, PayPal or Stripe checkout, stock updates from the dashboard • Migration to new hosting with security plugin, basic SEO setup and a short hand-over session so we can keep things updated ourselves The budget is tight, so I’m leaning on free themes and light-weight plugins wherever possible, but I’m hoping to work with someone who loves the natural world as much as we do and enjoys crafting something useful for the community. If that sounds like you, let’s talk and get planting!
