I am looking for an experienced California landscape architect or landscape designer to prepare a landscape design plan package for a new single-family residential project in Lafayette, California. The plan must be suitable for submission to the City of Lafayette Planning / Building Department and must address applicable California WELO / Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance requirements. Project Location: Lafayette, California Project Type: New single-family residence / new build Current Project Status: The house design is still being finalized, but the site information and conceptual design materials are available. I need a landscape professional who can coordinate with the architectural/site plan and prepare the required landscape documentation for City review. Documents I Can Provide: Topographic survey Soil report Driveway design Phase 1 conceptual design Site visualization / renderings Preliminary architectural/site plan, when available Arborist report, if required or available later Scope of Work Requested: Please provide services including, but not limited to: Review the site documents and City of Lafayette landscape/permit requirements. The project should follow the WELO Prescriptive Pathway or Performance Pathway, based on the total proposed landscape area. Prepare a permit-ready Landscape Design Plan, including: Existing and proposed landscape areas Planting plan Plant list with botanical/common names Plant quantities, sizes, and spacing Water-use classification / hydrozones Native, drought-tolerant, and fire-conscious planting recommendations Tree preservation / replacement coordination, if applicable Hardscape, mulch, and groundcover notes Prepare or coordinate the Irrigation Design Plan, if required, including: Hydrozone layout Irrigation method Controller / valve layout Water-efficient irrigation notes Prepare WELO-related documentation as applicable, such as: Water Efficient Landscape Worksheet Appendix D Checklist, if Prescriptive pathway applies Soil Management Report, if Performance pathway applies Any other City-required forms or notes Coordinate with my architect/designer, civil engineer, arborist, or other consultants as needed. Revise the drawings in response to City comments until the landscape portion is approved. Important Requirements: Must have experience with California residential permit landscape plans. Experience with WELO compliance is required. Experience with Lafayette, Contra Costa County, or East Bay hillside/residential projects is strongly preferred. Final deliverables must be suitable for City submission in PDF format. CAD/DWG files may also be requested if needed for coordination.
