Core requirements • Build the entire application with Next.js, using its API routes or a complementary Node layer for server-side logic. • Implement a classic email-and-password authentication flow, keeping the code flexible enough to add social login or 2FA later. • Enable creators (and admins) to upload videos, trigger transcoding to HLS/DASH, and stream content smoothly on all major browsers and devices. • Organize content by categories, tags and a robust search that surfaces results in milliseconds. • Develop an admin panel for user, video and category management, plus basic analytics. • Handle hosting, CDN integration and automated deployment—AWS, Vercel, CloudFront, or whichever stack you recommend that keeps playback latency low. • Deliver a responsive UI that scores high on Lighthouse for performance, accessibility and SEO. Acceptance criteria 1. A live, publicly accessible site running on your chosen cloud provider. 2. Source code in a private Git repo with clear setup instructions. 3. Admin credentials and a short loom/video walkthrough of key flows. 4. All pages pass a basic penetration test for common vulnerabilities (OWASP top-10). 5. Playback of a 1080p sample video starts in under two seconds on a 4G mobile connection.
